Earth Studios

We have six rooms in total. All of which are similar in size: 13ft x 20ft

All our rooms were designed by 'Studio Wizard' acoustic specialists & soundproofing engineers, who have designed numerous recording & rehearsal studio's worldwide.

The angles & shape of each studio have been calibrated with the perfect off kilter degrees for their size to optimise acoustics within them at mass audio volumes.

This ensures a far greater sound clarity, so musicians can hear what they are playing as an individual cutting through clearly, as well as the band as a whole. The design also means that noise clash and feed back are virtually non existent within the rooms, which again keeps the sound of the bands sharp & defined

• All rooms have full sound softened ceilings for a great overall acoustic texture.

For example, if a room is over-deadened it will sound dull & liveless, bassists & drummers will find this very flat with a thudding quality. However, if a room is too live, musicians will have re-verb & resonance problems. Guitarists & vocalists will find it piercing & full of echo

We have spent a lot of time & perseverance ensuring a perfect blend of these two natural acoustic attributes, re-arranging sizes & positions of additional wall hanging softeners to acquire optimum sound & are delighted with the finished acoustic quality that our rooms en-capture, as too are all the musicians using our facilities.

• Soundproofing

All rooms have two chambers. A high density outer chamber, hard rendered, chequer boarded & acoustic iso-wool insulated. Capped with a 1.5 tonne extreme density ceiling. Each inner chamber comprises of over a hundred plaster boards -

The inside of all walls have vertical running strips to aid vibration disbursement & ceilings are upholstered with a one way weave sound softener.
All inner chamber walls & floors are suspended upon a rubber resin making them entirely independent (not touching anything, even the ground)
This again cuts down on transference (the vibration from one room passing to the next)

• All rooms have extractors, which run at 3 turn overs per hour.

This means that the entire room is replenished with fresh air every 20 minutes, the voids between chambers contain silencers, which absorb & shicain escaping noise before it passes through upper vents.

• High active acoustic seals surround both inner & outer chamber doors
